My daughter absolutely loves science and everything to do with it. She was always looking up different science "experiments" she could do at home so I found this book and got it for her. We have done every one in the book at least once. The directions are extremely easy to follow and most items for these experiments can be found at home.

My late father was a Mr. Wizard chemistry teacher so science is in my life by birth as well as by education. Being unable to recall many of Dad's teaching experiments that didn't require a lab, I searched for a guide to help me share my love of science with my granddaughter in much the same spirit. Let me tell you, Tom Robinson's book is IT!! Dad would have been as pleased with it as I am. It's for everyone--no prior science education or special equipment needed, and you won't blow up the house. The experiments are well-planned and clearly explained. They can be grouped by topic or by complexity and will appeal to a wide age range.

I purchased this book with two others for my 5 year old granddaughter who enjoys doing experiments. Well, this book IS AMAZING! The heck about it being for kids. This book can be thoroughly enjoyed by adults assisting the kids too. The book is broken down into the various fields of science with the experiments offering a good base of knowledge. It also has games, puzzles and jokes for a little diversion. It reinforces the scientific method throughout the book without becoming off-putting to kids. This book will not disappoint and will certainly make any child currently disinterested in science see how amazing it really is.
