Jump Rope - Kids Free Activity Idea of the Dayfree

Kiddealz may earn a small commission via affiliate links in this post. Please read the disclosure.

Jumping rope is a great activity for exercise and kids love doing it.  If the kids get bored quickly try giving them some challenges such as:
  • See if they can double jump -- turn the rope twice while jumping just once.
  • Have them count how many times they can jump.
  • See if they can criss cross jump -- cross and uncross their arms while jumping.
  • Have them practice their spelling and jump out each letter.
  • Jump on one foot and/or alternate which foot lands.
Most dollar stores sell jump ropes.  You can even use rope or have the kids connect rubber bands  together to make one themselves.

Have fun!
