Phade is giving away a free sample of their marine biodegradable straws while supplies last made with a plant-based substrate called PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate) and performs like a traditional synthetic plastic straw.
Organic Waste Systems (OWS), based in Belgium, recently conducted a home compostable study of the phade straw to certify disintegration metrics. Results concluded that the phade straw completely deteriorates in 9 weeks!
This may be a good opportunity to learn about environmental science.
