The main factor: Price.  All reviewers say this is the best stroller in this price range.  On average this stroller costs $191.99.  The lowest price for this stroller was in March 2020 for $116.99.  Based on last year's data start looking for sales of this stroller at the beginning of February.

Pros (besides price):

• The stroller is great on all terrains.  Great for jogging or hiking or just navigating cracked up city sidewalks.
• The stroller and its material are well made and very durable.  
• The wheels are good sized making it very easy to maneuver and navigate.
• Super easy to fold.  
• Easy to assemble.
• Car seat is easy to adjust.
  

Cons:

• It weighs 41 pounds, so it takes some muscle getting it in and out of a car.   
• Manipulating the car seat takes practice.
• Shows wear after a few years.  You will most likely need to get a new stroller for a 2nd child.
• Difficult to adjust the car seat handle.
  

Baby Trend EZ Ride 35 Travel System, Doodle Dots

Multiple reviewers have posted reports of accidents happening to their baby for both the car seat and stroller and baby was perfectly protect and didn't even move out of position.

This stroller does not go on sale often, but it's very well priced all year long.  On average it costs $139.  The only time it went on sale last year was in November, which when the majority of strollers go on sale. The price went down to $120.  

Pros (besides safety):

• Holds a lot of stuff.  
• Lightweight.  Weighs 31 pounds.  
• Easy to maneuver.
  

Cons:

• Doesn't have a carrying handle for use when folded, but most strollers don't.
  
• Doesn't lock shut when folded.
  
• Takes some practice getting used to getting it open and closed.
• It's a wider stroller so it's harder to work with in smaller stores.

This is a more expensive travel system.  It's priced on average at $279.  This stroller went on sale last November for $237.99.

 Pros: 

• Lightweight: 38 pounds 
• Easy to use and maneuver.
  
• Easy to assemble.  Instructions are very clear and provide picture instructions.
• Easy transition from car seat to bassinet and stroller.
  
• Includes a bassinet cover, which is great for cold weather and a canopy for sun protection.
• Good amount of storage space.
• Lots of seating position choices.
• Harness is easy to tighten,
  
• Car seat includes a canopy as well for sun protection.
• Easy to move car seat from stroller and back.
  

Cons:

• The wheels are made of rubber and plastic.  Best for usage on hardwood and cement.  Not so good on grass.  Also, they can get squeaky.
• Clicking the car seat into the base takes practice. 
• Car seat is a bit bulky.
• Difficult to find extra car seat bases.

• Single hand open and close.
• Plentiful, easy to access accessories and storage.
• Good wheels.  Work well on many surfaces.
  
• Light weight: 30 pounds. 
• Easy to secure car seat into car and stroller.
  
• Car seat has intuitive buttons for easy usage.
  

 Cons: 

• Different colors offer different features.
• No cup holder and tray for baby.
  

 

Safety 1st Smooth Ride Travel System

• Easy to clean.  The liner removes and is machine washable.
